At a Glance

Our commitment to be a responsible neighbor is second only to our commitment to safety. Over the last 10 years we have demonstrated this commitment by improving the streams around the airfield. CVG is now an industry leader in this regard. The group spearheading our efforts is the environmental team of our Operations Dept.

The primary concern is ethylene glycol, which is sprayed on planes to prevent dangerous ice buildup in winter. The airport board has invested more than $20 million to reduce the chemicals in local stream water.
