Montego Bay Joins List of Warm-Weather Destinations
April 30, 2013
— CVG travelers looking to relax and soak in the sun can now add Jamaica to their list of easy-to-reach destinations.
Vacation Express will begin offering weekly charters from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to Montego Bay on May 19. The all-inclusive, seven-day vacations are being offered for as low as $813 a person on www.vacationexpress.com. Packages include champagne flights from CVG on Sunwing Airlines.
“Our charters to Cancun and Punta Cana are already very popular with local travelers, so we expect excitement around Montego Bay joining the list,” said Candace McGraw, CVG’s chief executive officer. “This is the time of year people plan their getaways and we are happy to offer a new option.”
Montego Bay is the second largest city in Jamaica. The coastland is occupied by numerous resorts, most newly built, some occupying the grounds of old sugar cane plantations with some of the original buildings and mill-works still standing. The city is backed by picturesque low mountains.
The charters will run weekly until Oct. 27. Vacation Express already offers all-inclusive, seven-day packages to Cancun, Mexico departing on Sundays and to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic departing on Saturdays. Apple Vacations provides all-inclusive, seven-day packages departing from CVG to Cancun on Saturdays and Punta Cana on Sundays.
