Master Plan Information Session
Dec. 12, 2012
— CVG will hold its public information session on Thursday, Dec. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Meeting Rooms 1-2, located at One West Rivercenter Blvd., in Covington, Ky. Complimentary parking will be available across the street in the parking garage.
The Master Plan Study is required by the Federal Aviation Administration and will lay out a road map for CVG to efficiently meet airport demand to 2035 while preserving the flexibility necessary to respond to changing aviation industry conditions.
The update will include passenger and cargo forecasts, preliminary facility condition assessments, sustainability initiatives, landside alternatives, an airport layout plan and a financial feasibility plan as CVG focuses on changes in the airport’s passenger mix from predominately connecting traffic to local origination/destination traffic.
The session will be an “open-house” format with information stations staffed by knowledgeable members of the CVG staff and the Consultant Team who will be available to talk with the public and answer questions. There will be no formal presentation.
Get here. Get there. Get home. Airline partners at CVG offer passengers more non-stop flights than any other airport in the region, including direct international service to Paris, Toronto and Cancun. Book your next flight now at cvgairport.com, where low fares are updated daily.
CVG is also home to DHL’s main North America hub. CVG has been rated the Best Regional Airport in North America by Skytrak, a London-based air transport research organization -- two years in a row. Last year, CVG became the first airport in the country to receive Safety Act Designation and Certification from the Department of Homeland Security, giving the airport the highest level of protections under the Act.
