CVG Hires Chief Operating Officer
Dec. 22, 2009 — Mr. Tim Zeis has accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Airport.
“Tim is no stranger to CVG, with over 27 years in different leadership roles at Comair, Inc., and most recently, Regional Elite Airline Services. He will bring a wealth of local airport and national airline experience to our CVG Team. In these changing airline industry times, Tim's background in customer service and operations will strengthen our organization and executive tier as we move CVG forward to successfully meet the challenges of the future,” said John C. Mok, CEO.
Tim began his career at Comair in 1982 as a ramp agent. He demonstrated stong leadership skills and effective employee engagement and quickly moved up within the organization to key management positions including General Manager of Customer Service, Director of Customer Services Planning & Development, and ultimately Vice President of Customer Services/Corporate Real Estate. Most recently, Tim served as the Director of Cincinnati's Hub Operations under the newly formed subsidiary of Delta, Regional Elite Airline Services.
In addition to Tim's successful career with Comair, he finds time to give back to the community as President of the Board of Directors for the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Board of Advisors for the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and over 10 years volunteering in youth athletics at the varsity level.
“Tim will be filling an executive position recently created as part of our new organizational structure,” said Mok. “The executive tier will be comprised as follows: Chief Administrative Officer (Candace McGraw), Chief Financial Officer (Sheila Hammons) and Chief Operating Officer (Mr. Zeis). I am excited to work with Tim in this new role.”
Tim holds a bachelor's of Business Administration from Thomas More College. He will join the CVG team on Jan. 18.
