Holiday Happenings at CVG
Dec. 6, 2012
— CVG is proud to partner with the Cincinnati Symphony and Pops Orchestras’ brass quintet for a live holiday concert at the airport today, Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. on the baggage claim level near the chapel.
"CVG is honored to showcase the tremendous talent of the CSO and highlight our region's rich heritage through this partnership," said Candace McGraw, Chief Executive Officer at CVG. "On behalf of the entire team here at CVG and all of our customers, we want to thank the CSO for enriching our airport's atmosphere with its world-class music especially during the holiday season."
Santa Claus will also be visiting CVG passengers Dec. 13 from 8 to 10 a.m. and again on Dec. 20 from 3 to 5 p.m. He will roam through the ticketing area and airport concourses during his visit. He will pose for pictures, distribute candy canes and spread holiday joy to CVG passengers.
CVG is also partnering with Honor Flight Tri-State for a Holiday Gift Wrap Booth located in Concourse B. Volunteers from Honor Flight Tri-State will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 21 and 22 to wrap any gifts post-security that passengers may be traveling with over the holidays. Donations are requested for the wrapping and all proceeds will go to Honor Flight Tri-State.
Founded in 1895, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra is the fifth oldest orchestra in the United States and represents the evolution of 200 years of musical tradition in the Queen City. CSO musicians also make up the world-famous Cincinnati Pops, founded in 1977.
