Air Canada to Offer New Toronto Flights
Jan. 27, 2010 — Air Canada has announced that it will offer two daily non-stop flights from CVG to Toronto starting in May.
“This is exciting news for the Tri-State,” said Airport CEO John C. Mok. “Toronto is a major market for our local passengers and the addition of these flights opens new opportunities beyond Toronto to major European and Asian destinations.
"This initiative to add flights at CVG illustrates, once again, the strong demand for air service in our local market. We welcome Air Canada as a new airline partner at CVG and in our community.”
“Air Canada is already the leading carrier at Toronto's airport. Centralized in a single terminal, Air Canada's Toronto hub is the most convenient gateway to and from the U.S., offering multiple connection options for passengers traveling anywhere in our global network," said Ben Smith, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for Air Canada.
The twice-a-day regional jet service will be operated via Air Canada's subsidiary carrier, Jazz, and will increase total daily non-stop service between CVG and Toronto from four to six.
