ID OFFICE
The job of obtaining fingerprints and background checks on airport employees falls on the ID Office. This is no small task when the number airport employees tops 10,000.
At a Glance
Employees of the ID Office submit fingerprints to the federal government, which conducts background checks to confirm that potential employees meet security requirements.
Once approved, new employees return to the ID office for training and testing on airport security regulations. Employees are then issued ID badges.
The ID Office also maintains records on current and former employees.
