Airport Commitment

CVG has a longstanding commitment to minimize the impact of aircraft noise:

  • Departure corridors along the Ohio River (north) and I-75 (south) help to keep larger jets away from residential areas.
  • The majority of nighttime activity occurs over less populated areas west of the airport.
  • An industry-leading flight tracking system monitors compliance with these procedures.
