Just as better highways reduce congestion and auto emissions, better airfields can help decrease the amount of fuel burned by aircraft. We have built one of the most efficient airfields — saving time and money for both passengers and airlines, and reducing aircraft emissions in the process. Our transportation center creates a dedicated space for rental car buses to park and wait for passengers. In doing so, it improves traffic flow, reduces pollution and saves fuel.

Alternative Fuels

The airport is committed to lowering emissions. We have begun adding hybrid vehicles to our maintenance fleet. We have also replaced older boilers with high efficiency units that use less energy. Our firemen have switched to cleaner burning propane and Tek Flame at their training facility.
