ArtsWave Presents at CVG

Jan. 16, 2014 — ArtsWave has partnered with CVG to present free performances from Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky arts groups. These performances will take place throughout CVG, from 3 to 4 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month.

The first event will take place on Jan. 16. and include:

  • Pones Inc. — creating site-specific performances through a fusion of movement and dance with other art forms. Pones Inc.’s interactive and accessible performances have been seen in over 30 Greater Cincinnati locations, as well as Indianapolis and Chicago. If you’re traveling, look for them in the tram/moving sidewalk area.
  • Nat Chaitkin’s Bach & Boombox shows that all good music is made the same way.  Come hear what Bach and James Brown had in common! Nat plays classical cello, and compares classical pieces to recordings by the Beastie Boys, Miles Davis and many others. Bring your iPod. He wants to hear your favorites too! Nat will be performing in the Main Terminal.

Both of these performance groups encourage audience interaction and participation, with the hopes of engaging travelers on their way into and out of the region. Pones, Inc is slated to perform at many future ArtsWave Presents at CVG events. Other performance groups and events will change each month. Future performance include: Feb. 20, March 20, April 17,May 15, June 19, July 17, Aug. 21, Sept. 18, Oct. 16, Nov. 20 and Dec 18.
