Feb. 14, 2014 – Allegiant Travel Company launches their inaugural service from CVG to Ft.Myers/Punta Gorda today.
“We are eager to launch another destination on Allegiant from CVG,” said Candace McGraw, CVG’s chief executive officer. “Our passengers want to go to Florida especially this time of year and now they can choose between Orlando and Punta Gorda on Allegiant, a vacation centered low-cost carrier option.”
Allegiant’s 166-seat MD-82 will fly two-day-a-week service from CVG to Ft.Myers/Punta Gorda (PGD) on Monday and Friday. Tickets and vacation packages can be booked through Allegiant.com.

On Wednesday, Allegiant launched service from CVG to the Orlando/Sanford Airport (SFB). Both inaugural flights on Allegiant were sold out. This is a strong sign that the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky community is excited about Allegiant joining the family of carriers at CVG.
