United Announces Nonstop Service to San Francisco

Service Begins June 8, 2017

August 22, 2016 — United Airlines will begin new nonstop service between CVG and San Francisco starting June 8, 2017. San Francisco becomes the sixth nonstop market from CVG for United, which also serves Denver, New York – Newark, Washington D.C. – Dulles, Houston Intercontinental and Chicago O’Hare.

“United has seen significant growth at CVG over the last three years,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG. “Since 2013, United’s passenger boardings have grown more than 44 percent as a result of expanded schedules and placement of larger aircraft. This new service will offer tremendous convenience and value for travelers, including a great schedule to San Francisco as well as one-stop connections to 30 other destinations including Singapore, Sydney, Australia, Auckland, New Zealand and many popular Asia destinations.”

“We want customers in the Cincinnati area to make United their first choice when booking travel to the west coast and beyond,” said Annette Zappala, United’s regional director of sales. “United’s service to San Francisco offers our business and leisure travelers a convenient, one-stop link between Cincinnati and the Asia Pacific.”

The daily nonstop flight to San Francisco will depart from CVG at 7:00 PM and arrive in San Francisco at 9:20 PM. Return flights will depart San Francisco at 10:40 AM and arrive at CVG at 6:10 PM. Flights will be operated using Airbus A319 aircraft with eight first-class and 120 economy seats.

“Linking CVG to United’s hub in San Francisco has been a priority for us, and it’s great to see that goal accomplished,” said J. Michael Schlotman, Kenton County Airport Board Chairman. “We’re pleased United is growing their network at CVG and that both corporate and leisure travelers will have another high-quality nonstop option to the west coast.”
