Jan. 20, 2017 — The U.S. Department of Transportation released its average airfare ranking report for third quarter 2016 compared to the same period of 2015.

• CVG average fare ranked #44 compared to #18 previously
• CVG average fare of $363 decreased 15% compared to $427
• Low-cost carrier capacity at CVG was 21% compared to 18%

In addition: fares have decreased 32% compared to $533 in 2014. Fares are down $170 round-trip over the last 24 months.
