Inventory Control Specialist - 2nd Shift

Description

CLASS SUMMARY: Responsible for performing a variety of shipping, receiving, inspection, warehouse and distribution activities for CVG AA; enters related data into the enterprise asset management system (EAMS), completes and maintains appropriate forms, records, reports and other documentation to ensure accurate accounting of Board property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

This class specification represents only the core areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department.

  • Interfaces with supplier delivery personnel. Inspects, counts and verifies products to be received. Matches materials to open orders and enters data into EAM system. Generates and maintains receiver files. Communicates to ROCs and/or teams of received materials.
  • Maintains the integrity of all the warehouse locations. Manage inventory levels through issuing and returning of parts to technicians and in the EAM system. Conducts scheduled inventory cycle counts, updating the official record and notifying appropriate team members of any adjustments.
  • Schedules and completes deliveries of supplies/inventory to CVG AA departments. Conduct requested pickups from regional suppliers needed for immediate support of Operation teams.
  • Initiates returns to supplier of items received in error, damaged, or not utilized on scheduled work. Works with Procurement to secure return authorization. Generates return material authorization in EAMS. Contacts delivery service and effects shipment per authorized instructions.
  • Ensures SDS information is included on all chemicals received at the Central Warehouse prior to distribution to various departments.
  • Reconciles receiver/invoicing discrepancies in conjunction with Procurement and Finance.
  • Manages Central Warehouse assets through inspections, cleaning, and safety observations.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED and two years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Maintains Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance
  • Obtain and maintain position appropriate NIMS & emergency training
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Obtain and maintain area non-movement airfield driving
  • Forklift Driver Certification.

__KNOWLEDGE OF: __

  • Applicable OSHA safety standards, Airfield and FAA Regulations and other Federal, State and local regulations
  • Basic inventory control procedures
  • Knowledge of inventory software (EAM) systems and Microsoft Office

SKILL IN:

  • Safe handling of materials utilizing forklifts, ladders, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Clear and effective communication and advocation, both orally and in writing.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective, fair, cooperative, collaborative and respectful relationships with internal and external colleagues, peers, work teams and workgroups.

ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class typically require: Climbing, balancing, stooping, pushing, lifting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Heavy Work: exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of frequently, and /or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
