Description
CLASS SUMMARY:
Join the team that keeps the Runways and Roadways safe for the traveling public! As a member of the Winter Operations Team, you have to be ready for a storm at all times. The team is divided into 3 areas; Street side, Ramp and Airfield; with over 60 different types of snow equipment for use to clean the areas you are working on. Some storms last multiple shifts and even days. Members work 13 hours on and are given 11 hours of rest at a local hotel or the comfort of your home. Meals are also provided. The work continues through the end of the storm and all areas are clean, including getting the equipment ready for the next snow event. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Airfield Ramp and Roadway Snow Removal
Positions will require a valid CDL Class B with a current Medical Card. Prior snow removal experience preferred. (Salary $18.25 per hour and a $5/hour Completion Bonus)
__Parking Lots & Sidewalks Snow Removal __
Positions will require a valid Driver’s License with a current Medical Card. Prior snow removal experience is preferred. (Salary is $16.25 per hour and a $5/hour Completion Bonus)
__KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: __
- Applicants must be able to train for 16 hours a month from November through March and be able to come in as requested for snow removal.
- During a snow removal operation, flexible 13 hour shifts could be required.
- Applicants must have the physical capacity to do manual work and in extreme temperatures.
- Applicants must maintain SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) clearance.
